I love this place, full of nostalgia.

Fantastic volunteers. A good chat with Keith & Sue Porter. Museum well looked after all clean and welcoming

Excellent value. The volunteers who run it are extremely knowledgeable. Really interesting. Coffee shop is good too.

This interesting little museum is in the old customs house and is staffed by volunteers who care deeply about it and are proud of their town's heritage. I paid just 2 admission - donations are also welcome - and spent over two hours there. In-depth information panels and lots of old photos, paintings, ship models and memorabilia relate the history of Fleetwood and its fishing industry. Kids will love the interactive displays and the replica of a salt mine. One of the volunteers took me to see the "Harriet", a Fleetwood fishing boat built in 1893, and shared some interesting facts about its history. Well worth a visit! There's also a nice little caf - I paid just 2.50 for a cake and a pot of tea - and a gift shop.

Fantastic place even if you're not interested in boats. Staff are amazing and have lots of knowledge about the area of Fleetwood and the sea. Amazing experience and cheap.to go into. Loved every minute and even visited twice in one week.
