Very busy and not easy to negotiate if not familiar with the shop. Needed assistance and had difficulty finding a member of staff

A while ago I wrote a five star review, which was an honest & glowing review at the time. However times change & so do standards, & I'm afraid my opinion has changed & I will not be shopping at Asda again.Over time prices have risen & it's not such a bargain at Asda. If you go early to avoid queues a lot of the freezer cabinets, fresh food stands are not lit... no joke when you have low vision. I often skip certain aisles because I simply can't see what's on offer. I realise that re stocking shelves is an on going proceedure, but the staff shouldn't take over an entire aisle with cages discarded cardboard, plastic, tape etc. They create a hazardous work environment for themselves & an impossible obstacle course for customers. Between skipping aisles because they are unlit, & skipping aisles because I can't get down them, shopping at Asda Fleetwood is becoming pointless.This morning I was in store between 7.30 & 8 only to find when I got to the check out no tills were staffed, it was self service only. Self service tills were never intended for customers who are doing a full shop. They are only for customers who have popped in for a few items. I was informed by a staff member it was self service or nothing... I decided on the latter & gave her my trolley & asked her to return the items.I will not be shopping at this store again
It always depends on the time you visit. Staff are very polite and helpful and will do most anything to help especially if you are struggling. There is a good range of items to suit needs-- and wants. Visit Fleetwood Asda.
Very helpful service from the woman in the toy aisle. Great selection of wine too although not as many iwc stickers/wine medal winners info as last time I shopped in Asda. So on balance something for the kids and adults! Oh and no cardboard wine carriers, call me tight but it's a bit of an expected bonus to get a free holder when you buy a fair amount on expensive booze.
