Went for the Christmas dinner menu and the price was excellent. The soup starter was delicious like homemade and the Turkey dinner was very nice too. The Christmas pudding was a little dissapointing however and appeared to be cut from an industrial slab (like something from a school or hospital canteen). The overall experience was okay especially for the price we paid but the lacklustre dessert unfortunately results in a lost star.
Really good place and the food is lovely, very resonable indeed, we had a really lovely bottle of wine for 5 as it was wine Wednesday. The service was excellent nothing was too much trouble. Will be going again.
Terrific value for food. At time of writing, 14 options (including a vegan one!) in a two-for-8.45 deal. I haven't seen anything like that before, and the food wasn't lacking in quantity or quality either. No wonder it was busy on an ordinary weeknight (albeit a December one). Not sure the food delivery wasn't quicker than the queue to order, to be honest!
Got told we would have to wait 40 minutes to an hour for a table, got a drink and waited in the bar area to be seated 10 minutes later we were told that our table was ready. Food came after about 15 minutes piping hot, really nice. Good selection of beer on tap. Just what you want for a cheap, quick and easy Sunday. The only gripe is that kids aren't allowed in the bar area which I find is daft for a family pub. But besides that 10/10
