A hidden gem, we were recommended here when eating elsewhere and were dubious but we didn't regret it. Lovely juicy steak with homemade chips and onion rings to die for, my wife had the curry night special which she said was as good as she's ever had. A little lacking in atmosphere although it was early on a Thursday the interior has a tired feel, although the real ale was good. If you could somehow combine here with the River Wyre Hotel's decor you would have a sure fire winner
